At the March 11, 2020 meeting members showed ‘green’ themed images, which are shown in the gallery below.
Members were asked to differentiate their ‘green’ shots into those taken specifically for this assignment (category: recent) and those chosen from one’s collection of old photos (catagory: archived). A prize was to be given for the photos voted best in each category by the meeting attendees.
So as not to skew the results of the voting and to avoid giving any advantage to the better known and more illustrious members of the club, photos submitted for consideration in each category were identified only by a four digit number corresponding the the last four digits of the member’s phone number. These security measures were to prevent the selection process from becoming a popularity contest.
The first two photos in the gallery are the winners in each category, both by the same photographer, a well-known and illustrious member of the club.
